The SKW92B module integrates a 1T1R 802.11n Wi-Fi radio, a 580MHz MIPS CPU,1-port fast Ethernet PHY, USB2.0 host, I2C/PCM and multiple slow IOs.The module provides two operation modes –IoT gateway mode and IoT device mode. In IoT gateway mode, the high performance USB2.0 allows SKW92B to add 3G/LTE modem support or add a H.264 ISP for wireless IP camera. For the IoT device mode, the module supports eMMC, SD-XC and USB2.0. In IoT device mode, it further supports PWM, SPI slave, 3rd UART and more GPIOs. For IoT gateway, it can connect to touch panel and BLE, Zigbee/Z-wave and sub-1G RF for smart home control.

The SKW99 module includes an 802.11n MAC and baseband, a 2.4GHz radio and FEM, a 650MHz MIPS CPU, a 2-port 10/100 fast Ethernet switch. Solution for low power, low-cost, and highly integrated AP router and consumer electronic devices, the module requires only an external 3.3V power supply. It supports 802.11n operating up to 144 Mbps for 20 MHz and 300 Mbps for 40 MHz channel respectively, and IEEE 802.11b/g data rates.
The module supports bridge mode and AP Client mode and Gateway mode. The high performance Module can process advanced applications effortlessly, such as routing, security and VoIP. The SKG09D is a high-performance GNSS all-in-one solution module that features super sensitivity, ultra low power and small form factor. The RF signal is applied to the antenna input of module, and a complete serial data message with position, velocity and time information is presented at the serial interface with NMEA protocol or custom protocol. It is based on the high performance features of the MediaTek MT3333 single-chip architecture, Its –165dBm tracking sensitivity extends positioning coverage into place like urban canyons and dense foliage environment where the GNSS was not possible before. The small form factor and low power consumption make the module easy to integrate into portable device like PNDs, mobile phones, cameras and vehicle navigation systems.

Log in on web page :

1、Log in by network cable

  1. To connect Ethernet(WAN or LAN all is ok) port of SKW77 by reticle, the other side connect the Ethernet of PC
  2. To set to get IP address automatically
  3. Type into 10.10.10.254 on browser
  4. User name: admin ,password:admin

2、Log in by wireless

1)To click and check available wireless internet.

2)Choose MT7620_AP SSID internet in the list. (This is wireless SSID, may be with the other names)

3)Type into 10.10.10.254 on browser when wireless SSSID is connected.

4)Type into username: admin /Password: admin, then turn into the webpage of setting.

Set operating mode:

Power consumption

The new arrival BLE Soc must be lower than before type on power consumption,Compared with nRF51822, nRF52832 reduce a half of power consumption.

Active-mode RX:5.5 mA

Active-mode TX @ 0dBm: 5.5mA

Active-mode TX @ 4dBm: 7.7mA

Compared with TI`S CC26XX, nRF52832 have obvious superiority,so does the other chip suppliers. Of course, here are the others factors affect power consumption in application, for example operating frequency or BLE parameter(connection or broadcast interval).

 

Cortex-M4F Kernel

The new generation nRF52832 add more function. For example, with Cortex-M4F kernel, with more powerful computation ability and floating point arithmetic. Here are the high requirement on arithmetic on wearable device or industrial equipment, must be with higher MCU operating speed, the operating speed of Cortex-M4F is 64Mhz that is much higher than the others.

This version SOC with a 512KB Flash and 64KB RAM,Also is better then the others,Nordic announce they will have 400KB flash version in the future.It is very hard technology. If you have the developing experience on BLE application, you would know the flash space of BLE protocol stack is over 80KB. The major BLE soc. With 128KB flash, just leave 40KB space for application program, anyway it is enough for data collection of sensor. It is 256KB flash in nRF51822 SOC, it is very competitive feature in the market, it is convenient for us in application to improve flash space.

The extra flash & RAM space means nRF52832 can support multiply protocols, can auto switch in operation. It seems that is a inevitable tendency as a industrial standard, here are many products support multiply protocols now, BLE is not the only wireless protocol so far.

 

BLE protocol stack

Nordic upgrade kernel from Cortex-M0 to Cortex-M4F that can make sure there is no need to modify BLE protocol stack, that means the developer can use a more stable BLE protocol stack and directly operate the before dozens of routines.

Many similar chips support multiply protocols now, such as BLE, ANT, Zigbee.

Each kind of protocol with their irreplaceable feature, that is the requirement of market to be compatible with multiply protocols in different application.

nRF52832 support  2.4GHz multiply protocols of Bluetooth Smart (Low Energy), ANT/ANT+ and proprietary Nordic, thus the module can connect kind of  nRF51, nRF24AP and nRF24L products, but Zigbee or Thread is not available that has a advantage on long distance transmission. Google is promoting Thread technology, that will be a competitor of BLE in smart home application. Maybe bluetooth mesh will figure out the problem on long distance transmission.

Concurrently bring in NFC technology that support NFC-A can be used as Tag, and be used it a safety connection in a short distance of smart phone, after all some applications need a safe way, that is good for the whole cost and dimension after integrate this techlogy. When you use the application, please make sure hardware is connected, to connect USB camera with SKW92`s , then enter setting webpage of network camera,to select capability as Enable,then set resolution,frame per second and port, the example setting as following is 640*480,25& 8080 .

Then use the software mjpeg_viewer_win.exe to view image by laptop, type into IP of SKW92 & port of setting, click “connect” then you could find the picture the camera take.

Steps:

1.To connect laptop and BLE  EVB board by cable

2.Open serial port debugged software, select serial port NO.  automatically, it is default baud rate ( This one is 115200),choose “ send the new row”, open serial port

3.Type : AT?(To view  AT commands of  BLE module,Click”send”, there will come out AT commands ,find command of “AT+ BAUD”

4.Type into AT commands : AT+ BAUD = 9600(The baud rate you want to select),

Click “ Send” , there is a feedback to show “ER” ( setup failed) or “ok” ( setup successful) in the bottom of window.

5.Type into:  AT+ SAVE( save the modification). Note:  If you don`t save the mofication, the baud rate will recover the default one next time.

6. To look over if the modification is successful, Repeat  from step1-3,Type  into AT commands :AT?, There is a feedback about AT commands.

Why does the high-speed rail maintenance need to use TD03 Bluetooth gateway?
The high-speed rail maintenance is mainly on the daily maintenance and safety inspection of high-speed rail. Besides, in order to prevent the “bomb show” like occurring in the U.S. blockbuster", we need to monitor the maintenance. Although there is camera monitoring with 24 hours a day in maintenance areas, the storage of server is limited, therefore, it saves only the monitoring video when maintaining. So how can the server automatically save the video of the maintenance periods? The Bluetooth gateway TD03 plays this role.

How does Bluetooth gateway work?
Bluetooth gateway can position the location of the maintenance personnel, and as long as the people are within the range of Bluetooth gateway, the server will save and record the video information of the current camera.
Preparation: all maintenance personnel must wear a Bluetooth device, bracelet or other, and Bluetooth gateway TD03 is arranged in the indoor fixed location to connected network.
Steps:
1.Maintenance personnel wearing Bluetooth devices enter into the range of TD03 (determined by the RSSI value), and Bluetooth devices pair with the Bluetooth in Bluetooth gateway.
2.The Bluetooth communicates with WiFi in Bluetooth gateway.
3. WiFi will upload the passed information to the server
4. The server automatically records the camera monitoring video till the 
Bluetooth devices worn by the maintenance personnel disconnect from the Bluetooth in Bluetooth gateway.

1.Physical Channel

On the contrary, BR / EDR technology is relatively mature, and its development is modular, so usually only need to integrate the module into the product. For example, Bluetooth Smart should be selected when developing Beacon applications, because BR / EDR does not support Beacon applications 

6.Pairing
Pairing is mandatory for Bluetooth BR / EDR, but it is selective for Bluetooth Smart. Simple Bluetooth Smart applications may not need to be paired

7.Throughput
 The Bluetooth Smart throughput is about 1 Mbps (as described in the specifications), but also depends on the application scenario. The Bluetooth BR / EDR throughput is more than 2Mbps, which is suitable for high-quality audio bitstream or other applications that need to maintain a higher bandwidth connection.

8. 4.x
Questions: If a Bluetooth headset is compatible with Bluetooth 4.x, does it mean that this headset is in low power? Bluetooth Smart can be used for audio applications or not?
Answer: In the Bluetooth 4.x core specification, one volume is a low power controller, and one volume is a Bluetooth BR / EDR controller. Usually, if the headset supports 4.x, it is compatible with the 4.x BR / EDR specification, but not compatible with low power specifications or Bluetooth Smart. 9.Profile

10.Internet Capability
The Bluetooth Technology Alliance provides three ways to access the Internet based on Bluetooth Smart technology, RESTFul API, HTTP Proxy Service (HPS) and Internet Protocol Support Profile (IPSP). They all need a gateway device to connect. The gateway device can be any device that can access the Internet., such as routers, set-top boxes, and even the idle smartphones at home. Decisive battle in battlefield
After the completion of groups dividing, the first round "decisive battle" was proceeding. Each member of a group gripped a rope which is connected to the drum, and finally made concerted effort to use the drum to hit the ball continuously and the ball did not drop down. A person uses a badminton racket to beat a ball for hundreds of times, without dropping down. But for using the drum to hit the ball, we could catch the ball for only twice to three times in the beginning. Later by continuously adjusting strategies and assigning tasks, making concerted effort, the best team caught the ball without dropping down for more than 60 times. For the tacit understanding of the team, we gave a high praise.

Challenge NO.1
To finish three items (throwing the ball, untying the hands cross tied, clapping and saying that "SKYLAB will be better with me") within 99 seconds. At first we all think that is more difficult to complete. After a few minutes of trials, the day day up team got the first result 42 seconds. But the coach said that this result was not satisfied, it should be 30 seconds for excellent team. Then they began to think about where was needed to make improvements and started to the practice, and their final results is 26 seconds. The other two teams got the final results 30 seconds. The joy of success presenting on everyone's face, we cooperated with each other and did not give up, so we should applaud for ourselves.

The front time was full of happiness, we thought that the last graduation wall should be a small case, but the atmosphere was suddenly turned around. After the coach saying a series of rules, we began to discuss how we can climb over the iron wall with 4.3meters height. The coach required that we must complete in 20 minutes. Things are always hardest at the beginning. The difficulty is that there is no one on the wall to pull the first person up, and there is no people forming ladder for the last two people to climb up. At the beginning, we were asked to stop again and again, because the first person cheered when he arrived on the wall, because someone kicked up his or her feet on the wallboard, someone whispered, or someone kept out of the affair… Every time to be asked for stop, our captain needed to be punished. At the beginning there was only a dozen of push-ups punishment, and most of us did not keep it in hearts. The numbers of push-ups punishment increased more and more, and the captain also gradually lost his strength. Instantly there was a silence in around, air congealed, and someone began to choke, but it became more determined from their eyes. After several fouls, finally we all climbed over that high iron wall. At that moment, we were happy and we shed tears …

1. Agricultural machines controlling 
The application of GPS modules in agricultural machinery controlling mainly includes variable fertilization seeder, combined harvester, unmanned tractor, etc.  

(1) Variable fertilization seeder
The starting point to subtilize agriculture’s variable controlling is to divide big fields into small fields, and collect the field’s situation information according to small fields. On the basis of their differences, 
that is based on the current status of soil nutrient and crop growth, and other field’s status information, to make operation project of field’s fertilization or variable seeding. Installing the receiver of GPS and GIS on combined harvester, when harvesting crops, it can acquire the distribution data of crop production from different sections and different fields within farmland, by using GNSS technology and output transducer. These data can be used to make production graphics after processing. Then, the data of various factors which affects the crop production will be transmitted into computer. Thus we can confirm the reasons for the nonuniform distribution of crop production by the way to compare production data, and make relevant effective measures. For this, the smart controlling software can be designed for agricultural machinery. In the process of operations in farmland, we can promote distributed investment according to the principle of on-demand investment, and analyze comprehensively whether the total production of some farmland and specific field has improved or reduced, then make new investment program for farmland with much more pertinence. Accordingly, we can control the driving speed and cutting range of combined harvester by using the distribution graphics of crop production, then control harvest speed and threshing amount, to achieve the best harvest effect and the highest harvest efficiency.  

(3) Unmanned tractor
Unmanned tractors are unmanned agricultural machinery controlled by fixed operating stations, which work under the navigation of GPS or ground system near to farmland. They have a lot of superiorities, such as : They can achieve continuously precise operation within 24 hours; Without driver, there is no need to set the cab and the steering mechanism; By increasing the space, they can be installed with more farm implements, and reduce the machine’s weight , then can improve working efficiency.

2. The precise prevention and cure of diseases and pests, and precise irrigation
In the precise prevention and cure of diseases and pests and precise irrigation, the applications of satellite navigation and positioning technology are mainly including precise crop-dusting, precise irrigation system, etc. 


(1)Precise crop-dusting (UAV’s inside positioning module implement the positioning)
Precise crop-dusting is to use GNSS to monitor diseases, pests and weeds, which is the new method of forecast. Through the GNSS system to connect the high-quality video camera system to capture and analyze images, you can collect the original data and monitor crops, then you can get the distribution of diseases, pests and weeds in the field. By successive shootings, you can confirm the pests’ fly the routes, the number of populations and the degree of damage, as well as the developing direction and trend of diseases, pests and weeds. If you want to focus on a large area of farmland spraying, you can choose the aircraft which install a differential GNSS(DGPS). DGPS can guide the pilot to the operating area directly from the airport, and fly on already designed routes and height to spray pesticide. If the pilot want to fly back again to the operating area after topped up pesticide, the system also can guide the aircraft to reach the exact point where the last spraying was stopped, to ensure that there is no respraying and no missing areas. 

(2)Precise irrigation (UAV’s inside positioning module implement the positioning)
Precise irrigation not only can meet the exact requirements of irrigation time, irrigation volume, irrigation position and irrigation composition during crop growth, but also can accurately adjust the measures of agricultural water’s using management and maximally improve water’s using efficiency. The land parameter sampler of GNSS can be used to collect the environmental parameters of plant growth in the field, such as soil humidity, land temperature, and so on. Controlling the base station through the GNSS center and using expert systems for plant analysis, you can control the plant growth environment and accurately regulate water saving irrigation system.  

3. The general investigation and planning of farmland resources 
In precise agriculture, the comprehensive applications of satellite navigation technology, GIS and remote sensing technology can achieve the digitization of farmland information and the visualization of management and applications. Technicians can use GNSS handhelds to get farmland’s geographic information. The application of satellite positioning measurement technology can quickly, efficiently and accurately calculate the operating area and other parameters. Farmland’s positioning information obtained by the satellite navigation receiver is converted into the corresponding graphic by GIS, and combine with all kinds of field information, then form the graphics of theme and prescription that reflect the information, such as the graphics of fertilizer fertility, diseases and pests, etc. These graphics can be used for the scientific fertilization of crops, the prevention and cure of diseases and pests, and the estimation of production, etc.

 

For the detector of soil moisture and temperature, which is equipped with satellite navigation and positioning function, it can determine the precise measurement information of the location (longitude, latitude), and it can display the position information of the sampling point, and it can store the location, moisture, group numbers and other information in computer, which also can be derived from the computer. Therefore, it can reflect the space difference of soil moisture. It can be a great benefit to the implementation of water-saving irrigation, and the precise water supply can be a great benefit to improving the crop’s production and quality. Then it can achieve the automatic sampling processing of the moisture containing rate and three-dimensional position information. Through the satellite navigation and positioning system, the distribution condition of soil moisture can be mastered, and provide a scientific basis for differentiated water-saving irrigation, at the same time, the precise water supply is also conducive to improving crop’s production and quality.

Undeniably, it is related to the original purpose of design. Although the name of PND product is with a word "portable" ,it can not be compared with Mobile Phone. Mobile phone is designed for users to put into their pockets, and it is more advantaged in the aspect of portability.

Besides, now the software develop of Navigation System has started to pay attention to pedestrian walking navigation, and its map data includes abundant pedestrian facilities, which is different from the map data of vehicle navigation before. By these pedestrian streets, overpasses, underpasses, squares or buildings which can walk through, and sideways which are provided for pedestrian, the users of navigation mobile phone can get more suitable walking navigation routes and improve the practical performance of navigation mobile phone. It is just because of the portability of mobile phone, navigation mobile phone will expand its leading advantage, even it can be said that pedestrian navigation is just the best mode to design for navigation mobile phone. However, as vehicle navigation, it has no too much requirement on portability.

 

Second: Installing

Since the vehicle mode is used as the guide of design originally, all vehicle navigators have matched brackets to choose. While navigation mobile phones are not necessarily equipped with vehicle navigation bracket. From this, it seems that the vehicle navigators win. The vehicle brackets of navigation mobile phones can be bought everywhere. Actually, now it is very easy to buy a bracket from digital product market. Spending about ten yuan RMB can solve the installing problem of navigation mobile phones in car. For this comparison, we prepared an adjustable clamping type sucker bracket, and its clips with mobile structure can easily clamp all sizes of mobile phones. On this aspect, it also can divide into high, medium and low grades, and consumer can choose the products with corresponding prices, according to their own costs. We can’t say which platform must be stronger than another platform, and there is no too much comparison. However, because some navigation chips can achieve special optimization for navigation, they may have a little advantage. On satellite reception ability, vehicle navigator has much more space to set specialized antenna for satellite, while the antenna setting for mobile phone need to test designer’s ability. So, on satellite reception ability, vehicle navigator can get a better result than navigation mobile phone, but it doesn’t mean that must be higher than mobile phone. For some well-designed mobile phones, they do not lag behind navigators on this aspect, or even better. Vehicle navigator can finish the positioning with only 30 seconds, and enter into navigation screen successfully. On system hardware platform, mobile phone and navigator both have their own chip design suppliers. They can launch products with better and better performance, according to the characteristics and use of their own products. Such as MSM series chips of Qualcomm, the developer and solution provider for mobile phones. While the well-known SiRF company in the navigation industry has also launched a Prima solution with a frequency up to 600MHz and with an independent DSP core.

 In the normal use of product, although the user can not see the chip and parameter concept become more and more blurry, its performance is sufficient to meet the navigation needs. Generally speaking, actually each one has its own advantage on the performance, and the biggest factor depends on the project design which is good or bad. In fact, the human factor is more important for this. Therefore, no one is absolutely dominant, a draw.

 

Fourth:Operation

At present, for the PND portable navigator, the operating designed by using its body buttons before has been changed a lot. By taking advantage of touch screen, the operation can be simplified to a new height, and only keep some necessary connection or plug ports, expansion slots ,switch, restart buttons, and so on. There is no difference for the operation between touch screen phone and navigator. For mobile phone, its operation can be divided into two categories, keyboard and touch screen operations. If the keyboard is the main way for your mobile phone to operate, there is no doubt that it is not as good as navigator on operation. Of course, now a lot of smart phones are equipped with touch screen. For example, this comparison of Nokia 5800 is such a product. If mobile phone is equipped with navigation system, there is no much difference on operation efficiency for them. 

 

Fifth: Observability

Since the vehicle navigation is used as a premise for discussion, then the observability of screen can not be ignored. Imaging that ,when you are driving and come to a cross, if it can not be confirmed by only voice prompt, you can watch the screen pictures on phone and navigator. Obviously, watching a relatively small screen of the phone will be easier to distract. However, now most of popular navigators are with 4.3inches or 5.0inches screen, which can make it easier to observe the situation of next cross. The screen of popular vehicle GPS is basically in more than 4.3inches, and its visual area is much larger than the visual area of the mobile phone with big screen. Maybe some people would say, when driving, no matter what kind of product’s screen, they all are unrealistic, and cause the same danger. But consider the matter itself, the specially suitable screen of GPS navigator occupy more advantages, and there are corresponding model numbers to choose for the navigators with a screen in 5.0inches or bigger one,7.0inches. If the screen in 4.3inches and 5.0inches are not big enough, the product’s options of navigator are more than mobile phone. It have to be mentioned that some drivers even think that you don’t need to watch the navigation screen, and you can also be successfully guided to the purpose by only navigation voice. From this, it is an very important thing that whether the navigation voice is clearly accepted by the user or not. But generally speaking, The volume of loudspeaker of mobile phone is not louder than it of navigator (except fake speakers). Besides, there are many navigators are also equipped with a convenient FM transmitting function, which can let the users make any volume amplification by transmitting from FM radio to the vehicle radio. At this point, the mobile phone is a little more inferior than the navigator.

 

Seventh:Navigation System

As navigation devices, the most important thing is the navigation function, and the navigation function mainly depends on the configuration of the navigation system. What user facing directly is not the hardware of system but the software insided, and the software which is good or bad will give the user the most direct feeling. But fortunately, because the software difference is only based on different platforms, the functions within the various navigation systems have no too much difference, especially in navigation guide .after years of development, in fact, there is not much difference. In fact, there is no much difference after the years of development. At present, the navigation system types of the mobile phones sold from domestic official channels is not as rich as them on vehicle navigators, particularly the genuine navigation system equipped by original factories. For the navigation mobile phones from some brands or even big brand manufacturers, they even don’t have the navigation system with practical navigation. Of course, it has to be mentioned that

some trial versions and special versions (such as cracked version) of navigation system are inflowing from the outside of China mainland ,which can let part of domestic users enjoy the fresh taste of mobile phone navigation firstly. However, because the conditions given  by the map manufacturer are not very strict, more and more navigators have started to be equipped with genuine navigation system and enjoy the official after-sale upgrade service, as long as they are the regular navigator manufacturers or even small brand manufacturers, not the fake brand. When the map manufacturers launch new version of navigation system, their first consideration is mostly the version of PND navigator and better maturity. Besides, in the market or the Internet, to find a navigation system which is equipped with China mainland map, the navigator has more resources than the resources owned by mobile phone. Only in terms of the present, in a navigation system, the navigators have a little more advantages. In addition to the easy acquisition, it still has a complete upgrade service. Because the upgrade of software is one very important factor to extend the life span of navigation products. Of course, with more attention paid by map manufacturers and depth in product development, it may be surpassed by mobile phone navigation in this difference. Such as the well-known Careland, RITU and LINGTU in domestic, they all launch the corresponding newest version of mobile phone’s navigation system. It is also very easy to buy from the market, and the retail price basically equals the price of the system on navigator platform. It also has regular upgrade service, which can make mobile phone users happy.
